This Auburn Recreation for sale here was factory built by California Custom Coach Inc, subsidiary of Auburn Speedster Co., Inc. in Pasadena – California, body No – 1293. Beautiful two tone color scheme, Pale Yellow / Ivory and vintage Mecca Gold over brown interior. Big 400 V-8 Ford engine and automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, car runs and drives very good, big headlights in working condition as well as the fog lights and side cowl lamps, wipers and even windshield wiper fluid system, also functional. Beautiful and very tight fit custom convertible top with chromed rear window frame mated with a pair of plexiglass side curtains for those rainy weekends that comes with a nice storage brown bag and a matching color tonneau cover that fits perfectly over the cockpit area. Clean real wire wheels and gangster style wide white wall tires, car comes with a spare tire in the trunk area behind the seats. JVC CD player with remote control, Mp3, bluetooth and SiriusXM, nice looking dash full of classic VDO gauges, expensive Italian Nardi wooden steering wheel, clean tan carpet and matching body paint brown leather bench and door panels. Supercharged pipes on both sides of the hood and Supercharged log/scripts, flying lady hood ornament, golf club door on rear passenger side, very clean engine compartment, prewar chrome accents all around the body, chrome running board steps, chrome bumpers….. this Auburn is full of prewar goodies and that gives the car an authentic vintage look. Condition is very nice, car was built back in 1979, paint is still nice and shiny but not new or perfect, minor flows, minor touchups, normal wear for it’s age, this is a car built long time ago. With only 23,956 miles since completed, this Auburn was always garaged and babied.
