About this item: This is a photograph of a hunter’s decoys and duck blind. It is taken in the beautiful marshlands of Dorchester County, Maryland, known as the “Heart of the Chesapeake”. The 17×22 landscape image is a single piece printed on high-quality paper. It’s an original photograph taken and signed by renowned photographer George W. Adams in 2007. The photograph features vibrant colors and the intricate details of nature, making it a perfect addition to any collection of wildlife photography. The image is numbered and dated on the edges of the print. About the photographer:George W. Adams was an engineer, fine arts conservator and photographer. In 1991, George “shifted the lens” of his photography toward the marshes and wildlife near his home in Cambridge, MD, a passion that traced back to growing up near the coastal Connecticut salt marshes. His large-format prints reveal his sensitivity to light, particularly the, “grey days, soft lights and limited palettes,” that he felt, “often reveal more than vivid sunsets.” He has had one-man shows in galleries in Annapolis and Salisbury, MD. As an active volunteer at the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge in Dorchester County, Mr. Adams surveyed the refuge marshes to monitor and map changes in the health and diversity of vegetation. About the seller:These prints were donated to Pleasant Day Medical Adult Day Care to raise funds for the One Vet One Day program. This program raises money to provide additional days of attendance to Pleasant Day for veterans as the Veterans Administration only provides 2 days a week of attendance to the center. These additional days of attendance give veterans nursing services, social interaction, activities and daily exercise programs. Pleasant Day Medical Adult Day Care is a 501(c)(3) non-profit center that provides care for elderly and disabled residents in Dorchester, Talbot and Caroline counties in Maryland. Since 1987, Pleasant Day allows people to remain as independent as they can for as long as possible. Nursing care, under physician’s direction, increases the quality of life for participants by allowing them to remain at home or with family members longer. Pleasant Day is the natural step between healthy living and a 24 hour care facility.
