Building on the success of the industry-leading V1 truck cams, our all new V2 series was born from the demands of an ever changing market. From toy haulers to trucks turned street rods, our V2 truck cam lineup has an answer for your needs. Designed to be used in conjunction with LS2/3/6 valve springs and stock pushrods, this power per dollar with our V2 truck cams is unmatched! We have partnered with an OEM Tier 1 supplier to grind the new V2 series which ensures maximum depth heat treatment. The maximum heat treat depth is achieved by having cam cores made within a few thousandths of final grind size, as opposed to grinding all the camshafts from the same starting core. Now, each grind has their own respective core. The end result is a revised camshaft that provides more average torque, higher peak power, and more durability than anyone else in the industry. All of this is done in the Land Of The Free, made right here in the USA! STAGE 4 SPECIFICS: The Stage 4 V2 camshaft is an amazing all around grind for the truck enthusiast. You sacrifice some low end torque in the pursuit of more power higher in the RPM range, but gain an idle note that is distinctly BTR! With more average torque than the V1 Stage 4 grind, it is still a tow-friendly camshaft, just not ideal for the everyday hauler. An aftermarket converter is highly recommended with this grind. BTR LS6 Beehive Springs BTR LS-series Valve Springs are designed, manufactured and tested to keep the correct seat and open pressures on the intake and exhaust valves for a variety of cylinder head applications. Handles valve train stress more efficiently to lessen chances of damage at high RPM’s. BTR Parts are designed to service and replace original components to maintain the performance and reliability of your vehicle! .560″ Lift LS6 Beehive Springs. Spring specs are 100 lbs @ 1.800″, 285 lbs @ 1.240″, coil bind @ 1.150″, set of 16. Since they’re not required, we make them options for you to choose Additional Parts Guide: Valve Spring Type you have the choice between our Tick Performance Dual Valve Spring Kit (assembled here in house using PAC valve springs) or a Brian Tooley Racing Dual Valve Spring Kit. if you’re trying to keep your valvetrain as light as possible. The PAC #1219 Drop-In Springs are an option only if you’ll be running a towMAX Camshaft. Additional Parts Guide: Pushrod Length Since stock pushrods are 7.400″ long, the 7.400″ hardened chromoly pushrod set is included in our Elite Camshaft Packages by default. If you think you’ll need a different length, we got a wide variety to choose from. All lengths are the same high quality hardened chromoly, ready for years of hard abuse. These pushrods are all 5/16″ diameter, .080″ wall; if you’d like a different diameter or wall thickness, please place your order by phone. Additional Parts Guide: Timing Chain Upgrade While upgrading your camshaft, it’s easy (and smart) to upgrade your timing chain. The GM is a nice budget upgrade over stock, while the Katech C5-R chain is a premium option. Additional Parts Guide: Oil Pump Upgrade Just like your timing chain, it’s easy (and smart) to upgrade your oil pump during a camshaft upgrade. The GM 1258″LS6″ Pump is a nice upgrade over the stock LS1 unit, while the Tick Performance Blueprinted & Ported “LS6” Pump is better for vehicles that will be abused often. Additional Parts Guide: AFM Delete Kit None of our Tick Performance Elite Series Camshafts are designed to work with Active Fuel Management (AFM, also known as Displacement on Demand or DOD), so you’ll need to order this kit to install at the same time as our camshaft unless you’ve already deleted this system. Installation of this kit requires removal of both cylinder heads in addition to your camshaft install.
