This creates a more precise seal, resulting in increased resonance and clarity of sound. • The highest quality pad on the market today, Straubinger pads are the perfect match for the highest quality flute. Professional COA (clean/oil/adjust) performed in January 2021. The flute has not been used since then. This flute has an even scale, beefy low register that caries consistently through all registers, great mechanism, and wonderful harmonics and overtones. Different tone colors and dynamics can be played with ease. You can really project on this instrument! Pads are not new but still have plenty of life in them. Straubinger pads do not need to be replaced, they just need to be shaved down when torn. This saves A LOT of money over the years. Comes in original Verne Q.
