Listing includes the following ~ USN – 8 non-metal, pea coat buttons with anchor and 4 stitch holes, approx 1 1/4″ diameterUSMC – 11 domed metal/brass dress buttons, Eagle w anchor, Waterbury Button Co, 5 measure approx 1″, other 6 measure approx 3/4″ with nice quality cotter pins attached to shanksUS Army – 6 dress uniform buttons, 2, approx 7/8″ diameter with squared shanks backmarked W.B.CO. on shank top and 4, approx 5/8″ diameter, 2 marked W.B.CO. on shank, the other 2 have loop type shanks and are backmarked Superior Quality w two stars and interior dot circleMedical/presumably USN – 4 domed brass Waterbury buttons, 1, approx 1″, the other 3, approx 1/2″ with Caduceus/anchor, smaller buttons attached to remnants of uniform fabric with cotter pinsUSN – 6 Gilt/brass domed dress uniform buttons, no backmarks, 4, approx 7/8″ (one has been somewhat flattened, is no longer domed & shank leans to side) 2 are approx 3/4″.5 small, approx 3/8″ diameter, lightweight brass/gilt color metal buttons, 1 marked with Air Corps insignia, other 4 are anchor with rope edge, all two stitch hole attachment1, 13 star rivet button1, 1″ brass/gilt crossed pistol (MP?) disc shaped clutch pin, currently missing attachments on back1, 5/8″ diameter insignia w approx 1/4″ screw-back attachment, eagle holding anchor with 13 star surround1, 3/4″ diameter domed brass/gilt stylized anchor with diamond dot surround, no backstamp1, 7/8″ diameter domed brass/gilt anchor with vertical stripe background, no backstamp1, 5/8″ diameter flat, 4 stitch hole copper(?) anchor1, 5/8″+ diameter amber color plastic with gilt metal eagle, wings outstretched holding log(?) looks to be button missing shank, so no way to attach14 mixed buttons, presumably made for fashion, not military use, sizing ranges from 1/2″ to 1 1/8″ Age appropriate scuffing, discoloration and wear, one USN button appears to have been flattened. Some pieces appear to be incomplete, amber colored w metal eagle looks like button that is missing a back loop for attachment, the Army MP crossed pistol insignia is missing the clutch pins on back, I may have some extras and can put them on if I do. The darker colored, small eagle screw back button by the pea coat buttons is missing the disc that would hold it in place. I have included photos showing examples and tried to describe and represent condition, but can only describe what I am aware of. Please message with any specific questions before bidding!
